AT THE HEART OF ANY FAITH COMMUNITY IS WORSHIP – the time when we come together as the body of Christ to honor and praise God. In worship we are reminded of our unifying diversity; that although we are different we are still one. Our worship experiences reflect this diversity in their blending of both traditional and non-traditional styles. Our hope is to assist every person in their desire to come into the presence of God. We often say that as followers of Jesus, we don't "Go" to church - we "Are" the church; this is very much the model we strive for through our worship here at St. Matthews UMC.  The New Testament idea of church happens throughout your week and through relationships, fellowship, service and gatherings of smaller groups of community.

But come Sunday, we gather to worship God together, as one voice, one body and one congregation seeking to encounter God's spirit.  Whether you enjoy singing traditional hymns and choir anthems or maybe you prefer modern music with a band, you'll experience a message of hope and love through our worship here at SMUMC and be challenged to live your faith out in real ways.

We pray that you'll join us for a Sunday service and come to know and love being part of the SMUMC family!
