The Nursery at St. Matthews is newly renovated.  It is a beautiful, safe environment where parents feel comfortable leaving their children from birth to three years of age.  The large open space is divided by small shelves separating infants from walkers.  All parents receive a pager when they drop off a child so that the parent may be contacted at any time if a problem arises.  Within the Nursery is also a private Nursing Room available to nursing mothers.  There are two little "potties" in the Nursery.  This safety feature means toddlers do not have to leave the room to go to the restroom.  The longest wall in the Nursery is a wall of windows overlooking the beautiful interior garden of St. Matthews UMC.  The children have an incredible view of nature and have been known to spot a butterfly or two!  Come check out this incredible space.  You will see how important the littlest ones are to St. Matthews UMC.

When you enter the Nursery you will be greeted warmly by Ms. Joy, who is our Nursery Coordinator.  Ms. Joy has over 38 years of experience working with children.  Even as a child she knew she wanted to work with kids, because she dreamed of being a teacher.  She also enjoys art, gardening, reading, sewing, cooking and playing with her Golden Retriever, Chief.  Ms. Joy also serves on the Chldren's Ministry Team.
