Wiggle Worship is a worship service for kids age 3 through 2nd Grade. They do things that adults do upstairs such as singing, praying, reading scripture, and having an offering time. But they do it in a setting that allows them to wiggle. This also gives parents the opportunity to worship without the distraction of the wiggles going on in the pew next to them. Wiggle Worship uses puppets, video and lots of other fun ways to help children praise the Lord. When kids worship God, amazing things happen! Wiggle Worship begins at 11:00 am and is offered all Sundays except Communion Sunday (1st of the month) when children worship and celebrate Holy Communion with their families.
Meet Our Leaders
Ms. Dee assists with a Preschool Small Group in Wiggle Worship. She enjoys knitting, reading and her favorite color is red. She also leads the Music Friends Choir and volunteers in the church office.
Ms. Hannah assists with Wiggle Worship and leads the Puppet Ministry of St. Matthews. She enjoys Italian food, playing the flute and piano, and volunteering. Ms. Hannah also leads worship with the Youth Choir and the Praise Band.
Mr. Hobie leads an Elementary Small Group in Wiggle Worship. He enjoys Major League Baseball and spicy food. When he was little, he dreamed of being a TV or radio announcer. Mr. Hobie also helps plan and lead special events and participates in the Puppet Ministry at SMUMC.
Ms. Lisa assists with an Elementary Small Group in Wiggle Worship. She likes dill pickles and University of Louisville sports. When she was little, she dreamed of becoming an archeologist. Ms. Lisa also serves as a Barista in the Wesley Café.
Ms. Martha leads an Elementary Small Group in Wiggle Worship. She always dreamed of being a nurse and enjoys reading and listening to music. Her favorite color is fuscia and she would never turn down a chocolate shake!
Mr. Wesley assists with an Elementary Small Group in Wiggle Worship. His favorite team is the University of Kentucky. He enjoys golf, green tea and pecan pancakes. When he was little, he dreamed of being a professional basketball player.
Ms. Linda assists with an Elementary Small Group in Wiggle Worship. She enjoys reading, shopping, and spending time with her granddaughter. She also serves on the Prayer Ministry and Hospitality Teams.
Ms. Kendra leads the large group time of Wiggle Worship. She enjoys cooking, movies, and fostering Miniature Pinschers. When she was little, she wanted to grow up to be news anchor.
