Opportunities to Serve in Youth Ministry

|
Sunday School Teachers
If you enjoy sharing your gifts and talking about your hobbies and passions, youth Sunday School is a perfect place for you to serve!! Youth Sunday School is taught in six-week segments, where the youth have a few topics to choose from. For example, if you are gifted at cooking, you may teach the youth for six weeks about foods in the Bible. Lessons and resources can be provided for you. There are also adults who we can pair you with that may feel more comfortable relating to the youth or teaching. We are looking for commitments for six weeks at a time.
Youth Counselors/Small Group Leaders
 If you enjoy getting to know people we have a spot for you!! Our youth need relationships from within the church that go beyond the, “Hello, how are you?” If you’re a good listener and encourager, we want you to mentor our students! Youth Counselors/Small Group Leaders participate and lead on most Sunday evenings. We also get together as youth leaders around 3 times a year for training, planning, and fellowship! Youth Counselors/Small Group Leaders are invited to our monthly Youth Ministry Team meeting.
Drama/Skit Leaders
Each Sunday evening that we have youth worship and small groups, we like to incorporate a skit that relates to the scriptures and topics for the evening. Leaders are needed to find, teach, and sometimes participate in great skits that catch the students’ attention. There’s nothing like a good skit that makes you laugh, penetrates the heart and drive the message for the evening.
Sunday Night Techs
Each Sunday evening that we have youth worship, we try to incorporate visuals and videos. Whether you enjoy putting the slides together or helping make sure things run smoothly, we could use your help!
Sunday Night Supper Provider
Our Sunday evening snack suppers are provided by our parents. Each parent signs up to provide and serve a meal. For families that have more than one child in youth, we ask them to provide another dinner for the group. If you love to cook and would like to help out, we would love for you to share your gift! There are always empty spots available.
Youth Missions - One Sunday a month, while school is in session, we focus on missions. Youth  stay after the 11:00 AM Worship to do mission work. At noon, there is a light meal provided and following the meal, the youth are sent out into the community to serve! Typically, missions wrap up by 3:00 PM.
• Driver’s – We are always in need of drivers that can help us get to and from our mission site.
• Coordinators – We could always use help planning our missions and getting everything lined up to give the youth a chance to serve and make a difference!
Games Leaders
Do you enjoy having a good time playing and goofing off? The 1st Sunday of the month is set-aside for "Game Night". We want to plan on our youth to invite their friends to experience how much fun it can be to be apart of the body of Christ! Here are some of the themes for game nights that we have used: board games, card games, team building, laser tag, broom ball, video games, putt putt, go carts, etc. If you have a passion to open doors for these youth and their friends or planning these events and leading them, we would love for you to join us!
Sharing Your Stories/Testimonies
 Jesus most often taught through stories. Stories seem to capture our attention and are often what allows us to understand God’s word. If you enjoy sharing stories we would love for you to share them with the youth! Most Sunday evenings we try to incorporate some sort of story or testimony that drives home the message or gets us started for the evening.
Wednesday Night W.O.W. Leaders
Music speaks to our hearts and on Wednesdays we take the best Christian music videos and talk about them. The lessons include a fun game, scripture and discussion questions. If you enjoy positive music and building relationships with you, your place in youth ministry could be here!
