Local Missions
One Sunday a month, we plan mission opportunity. Instead of having youth group and choir rehearsal in the evening, the youth meet following the 11:00 AM worship service for a light lunch and a time to serve others. Youth have served at the Susanna House Day Care, Golden Living Center, Portland Promise Center, Breath of Life UMC, and the Hospital Hospitality House! They've also served the people within the church and their needs and each November the youth put together shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.
Mission Trips
Every other year the youth have the opportunity to serve across the country. Typically, these missions trips are a week long. In the summer of 2009, the youth went to Macon, GA and served in several different ways. Some played and built relationships with a student program, others repaired homes.
