The Youth Ministry of St. Matthews UMC strives to create programs that nurture youth (grades 6 to 12) in their growth as Christian disciples. Our goal is to create opportunities for youth to SEEK the kingdom of God, SHARE the good news of Jesus Christ, and SERVE their neighbors.
YOUTH SCHEDULE
Sundays
Sunday School - 10:00 - 10:50 AM or 11:10 - Noon
Youth Choir - 5:00 -6:00 PM
** Youth Group & Light Meal - 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Wednesdays
Meal (Church Wide) - 5:00 - 6:30 PM
Youth W.O.W. (Re-Wired On Wednesday) - 6:30 - 7:30 PM
** Our meals are provided by a different parent each week. We ask that each youth pay $2 each week to help cover some of the expenses. If you would like to sign up to provide a meal, please email Kevin at kevin@saintmatthewsumc.org
Here at SMUMC, we like to focus on service & fun! Several times during the school year, the youth are sent out into the community to serve! Typically, missions inlcude, cleaning the daycare, going to a nursing home, cleaning and landscaping yards, serving at food pantries and soup kitchens, ect. We also want to have fun & we plan on students inviting their friends to experience how much fun it can be to be apart of the body of Christ! Some of our game nights include board games, team building, laser tag, broom ball, video games, putt putt, go carts, etc. Both, missions and game night events can be found on the youth calendar.
