Dear St. Matthews UMC Family and Friends,

We want to invite you to join us in worship online!  Today, we kick-off our “Heroes of Hope” series, which focuses on the Fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5) and how each of us can be instruments of God’s love, joy, and peace in the world.  We will also be celebrating those that are serving on the front lines of the Covid-19 pandemic.  See the links below for opportunities to worship, pray, discuss, and give!

An important part of our worship each week is giving.  We always encourage you to think about how you are living out your faith by sharing your time, talent, and treasure.  Each of our campuses has a dedicated page to explain all the different options you have for giving (two of which don’t even require getting off your couch!):

Resurrection Pictures:  DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 4/29!

We want to celebrate the resurrection by seeing your pictures and reading how you would complete the phrase, "Because Jesus is Risen...."  Below are some examples.

Because Jesus is risen I feel alive!

Because Jesus is risen I am forgiven!

Because Jesus is risen I have hope!

Take a picture of yourself holding a sign that completes the above phrase.  You can also just take a picture of yourself and complete the phrase when you send the picture back to us.  Email your picture and completed phrase to Pastor Derek at derek@rivercitymethodist.com by Wednesday, April 29, at 12:00pm.  We will include these pictures in a slide show for worship!  We are hoping that all of St. Matthews UMC campuses and services will participate!  We want to see everyone's pictures and testimonies!

May God bless you and keep you as we worship together today!

Pastors Adam, Derek, and Maikel
