The Eighteenth Sunday after Pentecost
Welcome to worship
at St. Matthews United Methodist Church!
We are glad to welcome you this Sunday to the first of five messages that take a look at what John Wesley's theology means for us today - the first being on "catholic spirit." It has been said that the most we are like Jesus is when we are willing to pray for the other churches in our community; to recognize that we are on the same team. So how do you have a conversation with someone you totally disagree with even though you both love the Lord?
This Sunday we also celebrate World Communion Sunday in all our worship services. The table of the Lord is an open table; all are welcome.
